The University’s newest member of the National Academy of Sciences is Alex Eskin, the Arthur Holly Compton Distinguished Service Professor in Mathematics. Eskin joins 83 other new members and 21 foreign associates from 15 countries who were elected to the academy for their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research, including UChicago alumni Joseph Incandela, AB’81, SM’85, PhD’86; and Rodney Rothstein, PhD’75.
